Although this book has been out for many years and has many, many reviews, I’m going to talk about it anyway.
This book is famous for a reason. It speaks to a soul in a way that few books can. Written as a story – more, a myth or legend – it is really one of the best ‘self-help’ books probably ever written.
A shepherd who feels like he is already following his dreams of traveling is given a choice; an unknown treasure or continue along his present course and not fulfill his Path of Life. Intrigued, he decides to sell all he has and go for the gold – literally. Along the way, he loses it all. But he gains knowledge, companionship, and most importantly a belief in himself and how to be at one with his heart.
This is a book that has inspired me as well as given me hope for the future. It is a book that will remain on my shelf for years to come.
Don't give up, keep putting one foot in front of the other, and allow yourself to realize your dreams.
